Artikal / Awtikal
In Jamaican Patois, the term “artikal” is a compliment used to describe someone who is genuine, solid, decent, or admirable in character. It’s often used to show respect for a person who is considered to be the “real deal” … trustworthy, respectable, and well-put-together in terms of both personality and behaviour.

“She a one artikal woman. Always carry herself good and look out fi people.”
